What are the challenges of freelance journalism? Cláudia Marques (Portugal), a freelance journalist and one of the 15 Gabo fellows this year tells you.
The Gabo Fellowship took place from the 28th of february to the 6th of march in Cartagena, Colombia, during the 58th International Film Festival of Cartagena de Indias.
The 15 selected journalists, who came from 11 different countries, were gathered for 7 days to discuss about a topic that was one of Gabriel García Márquez's biggest passions and that also got him involved in many special projects during his life: the cinematic arts.
This event was organized by the FNPI- Gabriel García Márquez New Iberoamerican Journalism Foundation, the Ministry of Culture of Colombia and Cartago Foundation.
