Three teachers of Gabriel García Márquez Fellowship in cultural journalism will attend the International Music Festival of Cartagena

The Cartagena Music Festival meets each year a interpreter and senior authors, representing different musical streams. The 2013 edition, to be held from 5 to 13 January, will be dedicated to the Italian music of the period between the fourteenth and eighteenth centuries.
 
Besides concerts and outdoor theaters, the Cartagena Musica Festival also offers a series of conversations led by music journalists like Jonathan Levi, Anne Midgette and Fischermann Diego. This is the programming of the conversations:
 
Conversation with Jonathan Levi: The Voice of the Baroque

Participants: Sara Mingardo, contralto; Umberto Chiummo, bass / baritone and Valentina Varriale, soprano.
 
Conversation with Jonathan Levi: The Genius of the Baroque
Date: January 09.
Time: 10:30 AM.
Location: Chapel Hotel Sofitel Santa Clara.
Participants: Rinaldo Alessandrini, conductor; and Salvatore Accardo, violinist.
 
Conversation with Jonathan Levi: The Mind of the Baroque

Similarly, the Cartagena Music Festival is one of the organizations that supports Gabriel García Márquez Fellowship in cultural journalism, call by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia and the FNPI, in wich Jonathan Levi is coordinator and Anne Midgette and Diego Fischerman are invited teachers for the module of music. So the participants will take the Music Festival as an environment to do their jobs of newsgathering, research and storytelling.
